Happy Chinese New Year!

It is a new year and so perhaps we should shake things up and do it the old way.  What if we have a traditional Chinese wedding?  Both bride and groom wear red chi pao’s (gowns) and the bride gets carried in on a “sedan.”  Even white guys have been known to participate.  Just take a look at this couple.

Pretty awesome outfit he has on.  I think H2B would go for this.  We did go around china trying to hunt down a set.

Carrying the bride through a door.  Things are not so different after all.

The unveiling.  I am told this was done because (at least for the wealthy in ancient times) the parents set up the marriage and the groom never got to meet his bride.  Great time for a surprise.

Heck yeah.  Beats a horse drawn carriage any day.  Look how jolly the groom is.  This gives me a great idea for the dramatic exit…
